so it like comes in a zip folder u extract it and then u open the extracted folder then you just open the "Scratchin' Melodii - SAGE 2022 Demo" (also labeled as application on the side so you'll prolly know which to open)
you can either play it like that OR you can add it to the library of ur steam before you play it (idk what difference does adding it to steam makes but its cool to add it in)
This is overall a really good game demo, but I have experienced a lag. When I am about to play a line, the NPC just lays out the actions at the beginning of their line, which leaves me hanging with no actions to do.

Edit: Nevermind, I connected my Xbox controller to my laptop and it works fine.
Not sure if I did something wrong but when I try to play with my xbox controller the A button pauses the game instead of playing the note, and when I followed the description and added it to my steam library the controller stopped working altogether.
Too late, but it could be because you configured your control in Steam and you still have it open, to solve this make sure that Steam is closed completely, for that you have to close it making sure that it is not open in the background, for example from the task manager , and if it still doesn't work, disconnect it and reconnect it
as far as i know each bar of inputs has a certain amount of style you can get for freestyle inputs, each input being worth a different amount, you gotta fill the style bar for each bar using any combination that fills the style bar (top left of screen, right bar) for the 3D section anyway
Dunno if this is a known bug but thought id mention it. Somehow the game corrupted my save data and there is no way to delete that save data in game. It instead makes most menu buttons not work, and if you try to play a song in practice, it boots the song but doesnt work. Unsure how my save data got corrupted in the first place but its probably worth finding a way to delete/restore corrupt save data so the game doesnt suddenly become unplayable.
btw issue is fixed once you delete all save data from the file
This had to be the absolute BUGGIEST demo I have ever played in my entire life. The game looks really good, but its not even playable. That makes it so that the game is UNPLAYABLE (I legit CANNOT play it). Second of all, when pausing the game, the song starts over, but the lyrics and animations are completely out of sync sync. So everytime you pause the song, you basically have to restart all over again. Third, if you do some manuvers around, an animation can get completely stuck, which means you have to restart the game if you want to play the game EVERY SINGLE TIME. I cannot believe that the developper(s) have the audacity to call this a demo, id say an early pre-alpha, at best. Also, on this recording, we can see that the game almost crashed when I tried to press R, for no reason.
I S-ranked all songs, but after S-ranking (with 3D mode) Grease Poppin', all other songs show as A-rank. S-ranked them again but still shows A-rank, with the high score stopped at 1650. This might just be because 3D mode is still a work in progress, but I'm wondering if my actual scores are still saved somewhere in the game file.
I hope this game kills fnf. And the artstyle is similar to Rhythm Heaven, there is NO way it's similar to fnf, the gameplay is just Parrapa The Rapper but enchanced. Not every rhythm game is similar to fnf just because it's animated.

When I play the game I sucked and I was on easy mode and when I went to Nami's stage on my windows computer, it would sometimes have the buttons being one spot, it just overlay each other, and when I got to a certain point, it would have a pacific pattern and I would hit it correctly and it would say that I was missing notes. Great game overall 🎮💕😁🎉
loved the update! though i think there's a bug with stir and mix where the last bar always gives you less points, sometimes negative even if you hit all the notes at the right time
Amazing game, only played for like 30 minutes with a few friends on Discord watching but its honestly a really nice game! May have to support the Dev as well. Really looking forward to the full Release.
Really wanna play this game, it looks super sweet, but for some reason the game is kinda unplayable on my pc. :/ Game has pretty unbearable lag spikes during songs and gets worse throughout the song. I turned down graphic settings all the way, tried resetting songs like the FAQ said, and no luck. My PC should be able to run this just fine too, 1070 Ti, i7, 16gb ram, not really sure if this is something I am doing wrong but I am kinda at a lost.
Any help would be great because I REALLY wanna play this.
strange, u have a better specs than me but I can run the game pretty smoothly. Maybe the game isn't using your 1070 Ti? You can try it by going to Nvidia control panel > program settings, find the game and apply it with "High performance Nvida processor". hope this helps
Found the issue (i think) and its odd. I uninstalled Valorant a few nights ago and tried making the game work again and suddenly worked with no issues. I think something with Vanguard might be making this game struggle to run for whatever reason.
Either way its a W. No valorant on my pc AND I can play Scratchin Melodii!

In the settings there’s an option to wipe your save. Forget which tab it’s under, but you’ll find it if you look.

I'm having a similar issue. Though I'm using a Dualshock 4 so I needed to add it to steam. Once I did, it worked fine but X also pauses the game.
Dude DO NOT use steam it disrupts the game.

try lowering the settings and resolution in options, it may not look great, but its 100 percent playabl

This is a very nice game rhythm game, I think that a cue for half bars would be useful since they could get you by surprise the first time you play.
Can't wait for the hard versions of the songs!
