When remapping buttons, I noticed that Switch Pro buttons are reversed so A<=>B and X<=>Y.
By default the Select and Back buttons are assigned separately from the bottom and right face buttons, but both are assigned. If you try to remap those buttons, you can only assign them to one at a time.
When trying to remap buttons within the tutorial song, the options menu wouldn't go away when trying to unpause.
Yes, this is normal. This is an unsigned program. In other words, Microsoft or Apple or whoever's behind your OS hasn't officially authorised the use of this program on computers running your OS. Therefore, the first time you start up the program, it'll always bring up a message telling you to be careful when opening it.
A friend of mine tweeted about this, and I gotta say, it absolutely did not disappoint. Good music, story, art, absolutely amazing and I cannot wait for more.
try changing controls. also play a lot i spent 4 hours the other day just to play normally rn. It's frustrating but for now totally a skill issue or maybe change some controls.

bro where theres disks with arowws on them u press the aroow buttons not the abyx or if ur on laptop wasd. its the arrows buttons i found that out later.
So far I really liked the game, it reminds me a lot of a ps1 classic, wouldn't they be interested if I helped them with new ideas?, like new characters or maybe songs :))
Absolutely love the game but for some reason during the tutorial hitting the A button on my xbox controller both hits the note and pauses the game at the same time softlocking it :P

I had the same issue, try going to remapping input settings and removing the "Return" key from the mapping.

You press keys according to the bar! If the keys do not seem to work, try changing them in the options menu!
You should probably use a controller to play, but if you don't have one, keyboard always work too!
