I really love this!!! The artwork is really good, the beats are bumping, and the whole thing oozes charm. I also like the voices (I know vocaloid/utau when I hear it), but I think they're being drowned out somewhat by the sick beats. I may just be bad at the game, but I do think there should be a difficulty select of sorts. I beat both stages, but I feel like I barely scraped by. Those patterns be complicated, even for a demo.
I find it pretty great so far. The tracks are nice, the artwork's cute and damn is it challenging.
Not that it's a bad thing, Parappa the Rapper 2 had very similar gameplay but was just not very challenging most of the time. I like the extra challenge here.
I can't wait to see how it'll look like in the future, so good luck with the development.
Hi creator, this may be a STUPID question, but will this game work without a controller/gamepad? I did try it with my laptop keyboard, but nothing worked (it couldnt select anything lol...) I
Heya! For keyboard users the game uses "S" for select and "D" for cancel. Sorry for not making that clear! (Although if that's not working either there must be another problem, so just let me know!)
First and foremost, this game is super cute and music is great. Is there a way for maybe later down the road in development to show what's going to be coming up? It's hard to prepare when you don't know when it's going to be a two bar or a single bar repeating and then when it immediately switches to support roles. There's also maybe a minor accessibility things with how button prompts end up meshing with the background and it's hard to see what you need to do next. Like I just can't see the L or R prompts when they're faded out. most rhythm games generally keep the things on screen in some way to let you know what to do and what's coming up. When they fade out on the two bars especially is a big "i have no clue what any of this is." Game is super cute though and I am excited to see it develop.
Thanks so much! I'll do my best to take this all into account for future gameplay changes, still learning about this kind of stuff and how players react to it so it's always helpful to know! :)
