Progress Checkup! (May 2022)


Hey! Been a while, huh? This is the first time I've posted about progress in this devlog. Let's see how it goes. First off, if you're looking for the next demo update, I'd say keep your eyes on SAGE 2022! Since last August, I've been slowly working through ironing things out, making more Rival Battles for Act 1, and getting Story Mode playable. I've been pretty low on free time lately, but luckily that shouldn't be the case for much longer and I'll soon have way more time to dedicate towards developing this game. 

To quickly summarize my progress at the moment (Not yet released though):

  • Native Controller Support: Done!
  • "Next Line" icon and other various QoL visual cues: Done!
  • Visual  Latency Calibration Settings: Done! (I think?)
  • Optimization: Improved!
  • Nami.wav (VS. Nami): Mostly done! Polishing visuals...    (Psst, if you hadn't seen, I uploaded a little bit of preview footage on my Twitter)
  • ??? (Rival Battle 3) : Animating characters...
  • ??? (Rival Battle 4): Music prepared...
  • Story Mode: Building overworld...
  • Key Remapping Options: In Progress...
  • And various hard to explain gameplay tweaks!

Can't wait for the SAGE 2022, didn't had this fun since i played Parappa and Um Jammer Lammy. Keep up the good work!
